As most of you are already aware, Tampa Bay is facing potential hurricane conditions. Below are important guidelines that should be followed to keep you and your family safe. Additionally we urge all clients to review your counties’ emergency preparedness guide for important information regarding evacuation routes, shelters and much more. Residents must be diligent through all phases of the storm and we recommend that you follow the guidelines below:
Before the Storm
- Listen to radio station
- Inventory your disaster supplies
- Close windows, doors and shutters
- Turn off propane tanks
- Unplug small appliances
- Full tank of gas
- Learn community’s hurricane response plan
- Evacuate if advised
- Protect all important documents
- Track the storm at: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/#Eta
During the Storm
- Keep the radio on
- Face away from the wind
- Stay away from windows
- Keep yourself as far insulated from the storm as possible
- Stay in the safest place in your home
After the Storm
- In an evacuation, only return when officials say it’s safe
- Be careful of all hazards such as flooding water, broken objects, damaged tree limbs, downed wires, etc.
- Stay out of flooded buildings
- Drive only if necessary
- Determine the extent of the damage
- Take pictures or obtain video of all damages
Resource Property Management will close on Wednesday 11/11 at 1:00 pm to ensure our personnel can get home safely. We will reopen on Thursday 11/12 if conditions allow. During the storm our managers will be on call 24/7 to handle emergencies. Please understand that the availability of vendors post storm may vary depending on the severity of the storm.
